The simplest things can sometimes be the hardest to get right. This is a method I picked up from Delia Smith. It is pretty much fool proof.Ingredients
Good quality fresh eggs (free range)
- Boil a pan of water (make sure you have a lid for the pan).
- Gently place the eggs into the boiling water and cover with the lid.
- For the perfect soft boiled eggs set the timer for 7 minutes.
- Turn off the hob after one minute (thus 1 minute with the hob/gas on and 6 minutes with it off).
